The wind is blowing from the East
It’s bringing new beginnings - buds and bees
And knives and feathers on the breeze
Owls and cats and nightingales
Bats and rabbits, wolves and whales
Birds and leaves of every kind
all gather in the Tower of Winds
The wind is blowing from the South
It’s bringing dust and flaming spears
Stargazers for ten thousand years
Elephants and antelopes
Hyenas, camels, pyramids
Trees and flowers of every kind
all gather in the Tower of Winds
The wind is blowing from the West
It’s bringing rain and waves that swell
And storms and floods and holy wells
Water falls on every side
Debris washed up by the tide
Shells and fish of every kind
all gather in the Tower of Winds
The wind is blowing from the North
It’s bringing castles, dark and old
And coal and diamonds, ice and cold
Crystal death and Northern lights
Geometry and endless nights
Stones and rocks of every kind
all gather in the Tower of Winds
Blowing in and twisting round
Spilling treasures on the ground
Leaving troubles with them there
All the wrong and harmful things
Things that weigh us down with cares
All depression and despair
Underneath the angel wings
A storm is blowing from a prayer
Sending brightness on the air
From the mossy Tower of Winds
Sending rainbows everywhere
